Dolls & Quilts

Dolls & Quilts is a solo exhibition exploring memory, identity, family, and the traditions of Black women through fiber art, soft sculpture, and photography. Drawing on sewing techniques passed down through generations of women in my family, the work transforms quilts and handmade dolls into vessels for personal and collective storytelling.

Presented at The Art of Words Community School in Brooklyn, the exhibition also invited children and families to participate in hands-on workshops in sewing and 3D printing, extending the gallery into a space for creativity, learning, and community making. The exhibition reflects my belief that art is both a form of cultural preservation and an invitation to imagine new possibilities.
